My vision for Redmond is to create a complete city.
A complete city is a
Dynamic city.
A dynamic city includes:
- Pedestrian-friendly centers with shopping on the ground floor and office and housing above
- An active downtown with a healthy balance of business and residential options
- Easily navigated roads and trails to connect us with jobs, schools, parks, retail and places of worship
- Community-wide participation in activities and community festivals such as Derby Days and Redmond Lights
A complete city is a Connected city.
Connections are important both within the city as well as with our greater community. As Mayor, I will:
- Strengthen physical connections through improved streets and traffic flow and finishing sidewalks and trails for bikes and walkers
- Strengthen communications with the community and request community input before decisions are made
- Continue to build connections with community leaders outside of Redmond to address issues such as land use policies, transportation and the environment
A complete city is a Healthy city. A healthy city includes a variety of elements:
- Environmental health
- Financial health
- Business Health
- Residents' Health
As Mayor, I will work hard to lead Redmond forward while maintaining all of the aspects that are so important to us including environmental sustainability, green space and neighborhoods.
